For information only, below is a list of services that the NCC currently considers in scope of this tender: Hard: Planned preventative maintenance; Reactive repairs and maintenance Water hygiene Statutory inspections Locksmithing Access control BMS   Soft: Cleaning Pest control Waste management Security services Porterage Grounds maintenance The NCC wishes to invite the market to inform the procurement process.  The National Composite Centre (NCC) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Bristol (UoB) that was set up in November 2009, and moving to the current site and purpose built building in November 2011. An extension to this building was opened in September 2014 which effectively doubled the buildings size. The combined building has 14 plant rooms, 18 meeting rooms, 4 large open-plan offices and over 7000m2 of workshop space. The FACILITIES MANAGEMENT of the building was handled internally for the first 3 years, and in the last year has been managed by an external contractor on an interim basis. The intention as the NCC grows is to outsource the FM support and servicing to a contractor in order to gain the statutory and business improving support that is needed as the business grows. The NCC wishes to inform the market in advance that this procurement exercise will be undertaken in order to understand the number of contractors interested in applying for the opportunity, and to offer the opportunity for contractors to provide feedback on the proposed process. This Prior Information Notice (PIN) serves to alert the marketplace to this opportunity and the NCC invites interested contractors to lodge an initial expression of interest as detailed herein. Contractors may also provide any other information which they feel may support the NCC with scoping and planning for this exercise. Following receipt of Expressions of Interest, it is currently the intention of the NCC to utilise a Restricted Procedure route under the EU Procurement Regulations (aka OJEU), although this may be reviewed following the outcome of this PIN. Details and guidance on the procurement process will be provided within the tender documentation, including help and support in responding via the e-tendering portal. Interested Contractors can express their interest in this opportunity via the University of Bristol e-tendering portal: https://tender.bris.ac.uk/. Tender documents will be finalised following supplier feedback and issued thereafter.
