The University requires a polychromatic high speed cell sorter housed in a Class 2 cabinet.  The system will be required to deal with a range of different cell types from various species.  It will be required to cope with the demands of sorting rare cells such as regulatory dendritic cells from mice and to preserve their functionality in downstream assays.  It will require true multi-colour detection capabilities due to the number of parameters needed to define certain key cell types.

This Contract is to establish a service concession Contract for the provision of a managed laundrette service in student accommodation across the University’s student accommodation sites. The service is to include but not be limited to: Capital investment and equipment provision Day to day servicing and repairs Health & safety requirements Cash collection and banking (if applicable) Handling any complaints Auditing/account reconciliation services Working with project teams/works contractors to specify requirements on refurbishment and/or new student accommodation projects, ensuring managed laundries meet the energy and water criteria set by the University. Payment of rebates to the University to cover utility costs (if applicable)   Our objective is to support/enhance the student experience by: providing a modern facility equipped with high quality, reliable equipment. providing value for money to the students using the facilities. continually improving facilities to meet student demand and adding value by incorporating smart technology, cashless payments, improving sustainability issues linked to energy and water usage, etc.  providing the opportunity to expand the service and usage.

Newcastle University wishes to purchase a Confocal Raman Spectrometer System. The Confocal Raman Spectrometer System is expected to work with Linkam heated optical stages, model CCR1000 and TS1500, and have the appropriate working distances on the objectives and microscope’s sample stage to accommodate the Linkam stages. Newcastle University is carrying out research that requires three different types of wastewater pilot plants in duplicate. The pilot plants are part of a unique wastewater treatment pilot plant facility through a joint collaboration between Newcastle University (NU) and Northumbrian Water Ltd. (NWL) to be located at one of NWLs sewage treatment works and operated using real wastewater.   The scope of this contract is for the construction, supply, delivery, and commissioning of duplicate skid-mounted wastewater treatment pilot plants (making 6 units in total) as detailed in Section 3 of the Invitation to Tender document to the University, with after sales support, a minimum 12 months parts and labour warranty and maintenance.

  The University is tendering for the purchase of a Pipe Organ to stand within King’s Hall, the university’s principal performance and ceremonial space.
